The best laid plans ...
Here I am - packed all I thought I'd need for a week of blissful sewing and quilting whilst looking after the 6YO DGD and I don't have a size 14 needle so I can continue machine quilting a lap quilt that I've been wanting to work on since the summer. And I don't have much else I can work on for another day.
Oh well I guess I'll clean the DIL's frig tomorrow afternoon - and watch TV |
Relax and enjoy your DGD:)
It could be worse .... maybe you could prepare something for you and DGD to do?
Bummer! You can cut your binding and get it ready.
I hate when that happens! I feel your pain.
That is why I don't really like to sew away from home -- I always forget to take something and then become frustrated!! Hope you can find another way to make the day productive!
Oh shoot, bummer!!!
I quilt with smaller needles. Will that work for you? Enjoy the time with your DGD. They are only little for a short time.
How lucky you are to be able to be with your GD. I know she will treasure the memories of being with you.
Since you have your computer ... or at least one available to you ... you can watch various videos or plan out your next quilts or just plain dream. When she is otherwise busy. |
You are not alone. This has happened to me many times when I went to my Dad's for Xmas. Yes, I did take my sewing machine with me on the airplane many times. There wasn't anything for me to do as a teenager so I brought my own type of entertainment. Dad would drop me off at fabric shop while he ran errands. Can't ask any more from a Dad!!
