How do you search for fabric on amazon? I only find books when I search for fabric, cotton fabric or quilt fabric.

If you are on a desktop, to the left of the search field is the department category. Make sure the category is "all" when you search. My guess is that you usually search for books and the default category for you when you log on is "books". I'm not sure if this works the same way in the Amazon app; would have to look.

I've ordered fabric from Marshall's, Batesville, AR, and their service has been very swift. I've never had a problem with anything I've gotten from Marshall's.

I also like thousandsofbolts.com

I have also had great luck on etsy as well - - - I was afraid but I am glad that I checked it out

FYI, Amazon has acquired Fabric.com and the prices have gone up.

I am an online shopper ninja. I think I have shopped at almost of the places listed here. And then some. My favorite place to go if I need a lot of something, or have a buddy to share the yardage, I go here: http://fabric4less.com
This is a "by the bolt" and "flat folds" site. You buy in bulk- sorta like Costco. You don't have to be a retailer or wholesaler, but you do have to create an acccount and sign in to see the amazing prices. The fabrics are the same name brands that are sold everywhere. We're talking $3 to $6 per yard for really nice fabrics. Even batiks.
just sayin... :)

Hancock's of Paducah, equilter.com, fabric.com, connecting thread, shabby fabric, and the pine needle are my favorites.
I always look at MSQC's daily deal and buy them a lot, especially since I can get companion fabric to go along with precuts.

I do go to other sites if these don't have what I want, of course, but I always try these first.

You may not realize it, but when you buy fabric from Amazon it is coming from fabric.com. Fabric.com was sold to Amazon a number of years ago. So you get the same fast shipping and great customer service. When I want a bargain I love fabric.com. Lately they have had a buy more, save more sale. So when you buy say 5 yards you will get it half price. I just bought 15 yards of batik for backing material for $6.84 a yard, and it is name brand batik.

Add Whittle's and 5 Bucks a Yard to those already mentioned.

Connecting Threads is wonderful, their fabric is very good with great prices, also their thread is good too. MSQC installed a new inventory system and had growing pains as a result. They just sent out a notice that the issues are now resolved and they ship right away. Give them another chance.

I ordered Dr. Seuss fabric from Amazon, 5 inch blocks, a panel and by the yard.
I had it in 3-4 days. Great fabric and very happy. Area quilt shop had the panel, but nothing to go with it so went all the way with Amazon. Sounds like you have some choices. Good luck with your foot and don't give up on your PT.

I buy a lot of fabric from Fabric.com. it is owned by Amazon, so shipping is usually pretty quick.
