I am surprised no one has mentioned Old Country Store http://www.theoldcountrystore.com/fabrics/ They have the best prices on all the new fabrics. Located in Intercourse, Pa. in the middle of Lancaster County. If you google quilt shops in Lancaster county you will find some. Burkholders is another, Dutchland Quilts, Hayloft Fabrics. Most of these have prices you wont believe. Have fun.

I agree have ordered some collections from Connecting Threads, and very pleased with what I go. I have a set of strips in black/white, with some red strips too, don't know what I am going to do with them, probably make a purse, not enough there to sew anything of size. All this fabric and quilt talk, makes me want to get to my machine... Bye...

I absolutely love Thousands of Bolts. I order quilt shop quality and brands for 4 to 5 dollars a yard. I love them!

Marshall's Dry Goods in Batesville Ar. they have a good web site and you can find most anything you are looking for. Also, try the Quilt shop in Athens - they have a very good selection of fabric.

I order fabric online all of the time--I ws bragging that I hadn't been to the local fabric shop in over 2 weeks and a large bundle of fabric arrived in the mail-oops I got caught. Fabric.com, fatquartershop but I have purchased from many other ones as well. I have never had a problem. I even have found matching fabric on ebay for half-price! The only thing is you can't touch the fabric but if you are ordering 100% cotton than you are usually ok.

The Cotton Loft is also a good place to shop. Be prepared to stay on the computer all day, they have so much!!! Ask me how I know!
