Best Press substitute question

Here is a thread that has me thinking ....

http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t169267.html

what if I can't find the Lavender oil - or the ones I do find are ssssssooooo expensive

so my questions are :
1) do I have to use the Lavender Essential oil
2) can anything else be used instead ?

Thanks for your help :)

I have great results using stay-flo mixed with frebreeze.

I found my lavender oil at the grocery, in the organic section. I think it was 6.99 or so. I have had the same bottle for years, so I think the cost was reasonable.

I don't know why you couldn't use any extract, like from the baking section? It's mostly alcohol. Orange or lemon would smell fresh! Or leave it out all together. I'm sure some people don't like the scents.

Lavender oil is just for the smell, it should work perfectly without it.

I use my Sta-flo without any 'smelly' stuff in it. Working in an allergist office it is frowned upon with scents....
