Check out the bloc-loc rulers. They are fantastic for keeping that point
when trimming. They have an indent so your ruler stays put in the geese.
You can watch the video on Youtube.

Here's another vote for Deb Tucker.

I get the best results with the Easy Angle Ruler and Companion Angle ruler. I like them because I have to trim fewer dog ears and there is no fabric waste. I also don't have to mark anything.

I use Eleanor Burns' FG rulers. There's very little waste/trimming.

DEB TUCKER's WING CLIPPER!!! HANDS DOWN the very BEST for absolutely perfect flying geese, no effort, no frustration, no complicated math trying to figure out sizes to cut fabrics! Watch er video for this tool on "Deb Tuckers Studio 180 Design.net"

Here's my vote for the Eleanor Burns' ruler and method. As someone else said, there's very little waste (don't have those "bonus" triangles that some method's produce), and I find that her ruler keeps me from having "wonky wings".

I have several sizes of the BlockLoc rulers and they are nice. I always grab the Folded Corner Clipper though. And I have Bonnie Hunter's new ruler. I still like the Folded Corner Clipper the best. And it's cheaper then the others too. I use to use Eleanor Burns ruler but someone borrowed it and I never replaced it. It was nice that there was no bonus waste at all. I need to get another one.

I love using triangulations for flying geese that are connected. It was the only was I got them perfect.

When I have a lot of small flying geese next to each other I paper piece as many as I can in one group.

those are my go-to tools, also.
i try to avoid tools that force me to take extra steps to make more cuts than necessary and to waste fabric i don't want to waste.
