Can anyone please let me know what would be the best sewing machine to do quilting with?. I am relatively new to quilting.

Thank you,
Kathrine

I have a new Juki quilter's machine and it's working really well with my machine quilting. Here's a site where you can see what it looks like and get some specifics on the machine.

I have a Bernina with a stitch regulator and I love it.

Newsletterbot: :) Although this is a simple sewing machine, it has 60 stitches and does a nice straight seam. However, the biggest bonus' are it is not that expensive (under $200) and is very light weight - a very nice feature for taking it to quild meetings, sewing bees, classes, etc. I have had it for about 6 months and find that I use this machine more frequently than my more expensive machine because it is also very easy to move from room to room and use on my table top. It is so light I can pick it up with one hand. Since I'm 77 years and my muscles are not what they used to be I find this to be a big benefit. The machine is a Brother BC1000 and I purchased mine at Targets. Another benefit is that it uses the old standard Class 15 bobbins I also found that as inexpensive this machine is, it is certainly of comparable quality with much more expensive models found on the open market. Good luck
