Thank you. I asked the question because I think that's how I want to back a biscuit quilt. I've recently started hand stitching my buttonholes but never thought to use anything but regular thread.

I've also used 1/8" satin ribbon .... touched the ends with fray stop after tying.

My Mom used carpet warp.

#3 cotton crochet thread usually
