Some where I read about making bias binding that's long. I dimly remember some instruction to create a tube to do it.
Does anyone know how to do this?
I want it 2 1/2" s, and am trying to avoid sewing shorter strips together.
Thanks

For bias binding, I always starch the fabric heavily before cutting it. This stabilizes the bias so it doesn't stretch with handling and become rippled. I make the first cut on the bias for the entire width of the fabric, then fold the cut edges together and cut every 2-1/2 inches from the cut edge so that all of my strips are long.

I need to remember this when I start to bind my grandmothers double wedding ring quilt. It is scalloped and this is how I was told to cut the binding.
