Mine sits on top of an old dresser. I can keep huge amounts of stuff in all those drawers. it is a little less than the size of half a sheet of plywood.

I made my own as I got tired of waiting for DH to do it. It measures 2' by 4' and I just set it on my ironing board. Ideally I'd rather have it on top of storage so I don't leave my board up all the time. I love it.

DH made me one. It is 24x48 and sits on the end of my cutting table. My cutting table is 2 of the plastic tables put together on risers. I still have plenty of room for cutting and I love the big board. He made it out of a scrap piece of plywood he had, we covered it with batting and the silver ironing board fabric.

My husband made me one, it just sits on top of my ironing board, and is easily removed.

I have one and love it. Mine is 22 x 60 Perfect for ironing a width of fabric and the length is great for working on borders. When a group of us get together we put bed risers under the legs of one table, put a big board on top and share.

i personally don't have one but I quilt for charity at my church and they have two. One is heavy and one is not. Since we have to assemble and disassemble each time we meet, the lighter one gets my vote. I think they are wonderful and both are very stable. They do have 2x4s on the underside, as others have stated, to keep the board from moving.

My husband made me one to fit on a ironing board. I love it but is heavy and bent the ironing board so bought a used one at the thrift store but it is starting to bend. Since I've had it several years, I'll look for another used one. I took it off for awhile but missed it. I do have a 2nd one for ironing clothes (which I rarely do).

I made a big ironing board from a leftover piece of plywood (22" x 65") and put it on top of a 30" high Home Depot 3 shelf wire 'storage unit' (about 20 bucks). I secured the wood underneath with some screws that had wide plastic washers on them (that I saved from some other purchase but you could always get a pack of screws and wide washers). The washers fit over 2 of the wires underneath the top shelf and screw into the bottom-side of the wood. Now I have 2 shelves of space under the board to hold containers with buttons, scissors, tape measure, all that stuff plus a large surface to iron on. I used batting and felt for padding under fabric with elastic around the edges, works really well.

I bought a used big board from a friend. You use it on top of your existing ironing board. The BB ha rubber stops on the under side that you snug up against the top of your existing board. I don't find it the least bit unstable or wobbly.

I made my own big board with a precut piece of plywood from Home Depot and a few pieces of 1x2 and some screws. Nothing fancy and my ironing board is from a thrift store. Its a little wider than a normal one but I haven't had any problems.
