I agree with eparys - packing tape is super sticky to get those pesky thread bits, after you have clipped a couple threads you can just pull the thread out quickly and easily. Tweezers can also be helpful for some of the "I'm going to stay here forever" bits of thread. Put a good movie on and "pluck" away. lol. I think we've all been there, done that at least once in our sewing lifetime.

I take strips of packing or scotch tape and that works great for getting stubborn threads picked up. If you get any under the stitching ever I use tweezers to pluck them out without damaging the quilting. Good luck... :-D

lint rollers...i have about 6 in various places all over my sew area, even one on the ironing board.....cant beat them for small pcs of thread!!!

Try a microfiber cloth. Just rub it gently across the fabric and it will pull the threads out for you. The threads will stick to the cloth. I use mine to clean my cutting board, and it even gets dog hair off of my cloth furniture!

I did the hair brush and tape and it worked beautifully I am now happily requilting the piece. But I will have a lint roller handy for everyday use. Thanks for all the suggestions.

In the past when I was faced with a lot of tiny threads from unstitching I ued a tape wrapped my fingers and it works pretty well.
