Big score at the thrift store!

I was at my local thrift store yesterday looking for Lego for my kids and I checked the fabric bin. (6 pieces for a dollar!) Peeking out of the top was a hand pieced quilt square - with late 19th century prints - that just happens to match in size and pattern with 4 I have at home. Matching? Wow.

I checked the depths of the fabric bin and found a small number of quilt fabric bits and a total of TEN vintage quilt squares. A mix of hand pieced and machine pieced! Total cost $3. The yellow ones have been machine washed, and some of the blocks are wonky ... but who is complaining?

Here is a link to the Habitat ReStore Stores in USA and Canada - my source for a Singer 15-91 ($30!) and now for amazing antique quilt squares.

How cool is that! Great find! I never seem to run up on good things like that, but I guess my day will come one of these days! Enjoy! (And thanks for the link - didn't even know there was a ReStore in my area, even if it is about 45 minutes away.)
