I'd like to say thank you so much to the members who suggested spray basting quilts instead of pinning. I've just completed three 'snuggle' rugs with fleece backing using spray basting, and it's been the easiest thing I've done in a long time. So quick and no chance of any puckering. I feel like I've just discovered daylight!! I think safety pins will be taking a back seat from now on - especially on smaller projects. Thank you once again.

Isn't the spray baste just the greatest?!!!! I love using it, no more on the floors on my bad knees trying to pin!
|
I'm going to have to give this a go again- Thanks!

Gee - I should try this but I guess I need a quilt top finished first!

I fell in love with spray basting, too.

I've never tried spray basting before, but I'm curious now and want to try too!
I hope I have as much success as you guys. |
It is an amazing product :D:D:D

If I had to put safety pins in to baste...I doubt I would be quilting! Spray basting is fantastic!

Several weeks ago I treated myself to a manicure. My manicurist suggested a new product for my nails that she said was "life changing." Of course, I laughed and said that having children is life changing, or marrying or divorcing is life changing, or moving to a new city is life changing. Well, I'm only slightly exaggerating, but spray basting is life changing! Get a good brand like 505. I used the June Tailor brand the first time I tried it and it gummed up my needle and my thread broke alot. I probably sprayed too much, but the 505 worked perfectly.

I'm a card carrying member of the "I love spray basting" club. It is life changing in my book. It boggles my mind to think of all the time I took using pins and hand basting over the years.
