I am thinking about attempting a quilt with the colors of the birthstones. Some of the stones translate to fabric very well,some don't. Looking for any ideas on what fabric colors to use.

I would use batiks because they have so many different tones of a color it would be easy to mimic gemstones. Especially for October which is an Opal and whatever month is a pearl.

Wouldn't the fabric colours be the birthstone colours?

The diamond would be the hard one. Perhaps metallic silver on white?
