I am making "Sew Easy Twist bags" and am using black, white and yellow fabrics. Should I use white or black thread? I refuse to change the thread out when moving from one color to the other. What do you all recommend?

Are they solids or prints?

You're more likely to see black thread thru white fabric than you are white thread thru black fabric. That said, I'd probably use gray.

This a black and white quilt I did. Top stitching done in black most of the pieces put together with white thread.

I use gray thread on almost all my piecing.

I agree, I use gray often. Neutral is better.

I use grey thread from connecting threads. It blends in with everything.

Your choice! There are no wrong answers! You could do a test on a sample fabric piece possibly to see which one you prefer.

I vote for gray.

it depends ... do you want your quilting to really stand out? if you do then judge what is going to stand out the most..is it mostly white/yellow? use black...is the black more predominent? use the white...would you rather the quilting stitches blend in/not be as noticable? then use a neutral like medium gray. take your top with you to a fabric store and lay each color across it a couple feet and see what you like.

Not sure if you are asking what thread to sew the bag with, or if you are going to quilt the bag. I would definitely use a shade of gray thread to sew the bag with. I usually use a shade of gray when piecing multiple colors.

I would use gray, too. It was suggested to me, I had a black and white quilt I was finishing so I switched to gray, it did blend better than either the black or white.

I actulay use a taupe on just about everything. However, I would vote for gray over either black or white.

If you want your stitches to stand out, why not try and black and white varigated thread?

Thank you to everyone's advice. I will try the gray thread. I didn't even think of that.
