i've been collecting black & whites to make a top. i've noticed that some of the b&w's being sold aren't so white. matter of fact, they're cream! i would like to know how you handle these? not sure what to do with them! have you used them & they blend or do they stand out?????
I, too, have been collecting black & whites for a quilt. I have tried to avoid the creams, and won't be using them in my quilt. I think they look dirty when placed next to whites.
better to use only white or cream. I find the mix just doesn't work.
dirty, huh? sounds bad! i agree, they do look off, that's for sure...
they didn't show up on my monitor as cream, & i hate to waste them now that i've got them...so i'm thinking of grouping them in one section... |
i would have to agree it's either/or in a traditional pattern, but i think MAYBE they will work ok in a scrappy sort of b&w. WHAT DO YOU think?

they look muddy, but there's gotta be a way to make them FIT
You are talking about two different colors. There is black and white and then there is black and cream.
glad to hear everyone's opinions, they DO have that common denominator though--
Maybe you could use the creme around the outside of the quilt or do a diagonal pattern alternating creme/white. That way at least it looks deliberate.
