Glad to hear this as I thought I was the only one who has no idea what type of quilt this is. Looking forward to someone having the answer and with all the wonderful quilters on this board, I am sure someone will know... :)

Amazon.com has a book titled "BlockBender Quilts" by Margaret Miller published in 1995. There is no picture of the book and I am not familar with the block.

I think this is when a traditional block is skewed so that it looks somewhat out of shape. I've seen some interesting wall hangings using this method. Feel free to correct me if this is wrong.

I have never heard of this either.

I just googled the title of the book and found a photo of the front cover on Amazon - the cover reads: Blockbender Quilts: Creating Curved Illusions in Pieced Surfaces by Margaret J. Miller

Have never heard of it before but looks like she uses some rectangles to form curves like Storm at Sea does.

I saw a picture on a post here last week. it seems to be st. lines
put together so lines appear to" bend" in a curve. there appeared to be many small pieces but it may look that if thr pattern of the fabric is a stripe. It was gorgeous and very contemporary I usually like more traditional but this intreged me.
