Block Sleuths...Name this block!

Since the track record here is 100% - can someone ID this block please?

I know it'd be easy enough to sketch off - looking for a 'name'!
Thanks in advance!

I believe it's a called "Arkansas Crossroads" (I have one in-progress). https://www.google.com/search?q=arka...w=1267&bih=651

Awesome Wendy! Thanks so much! :)

It is a great block done in the oranges.

Nammie to 7 01-02-2014 08:02 PM

You got your answer pretty quickly!! I thought it was Arkansas Crossroad too.

MacThayer 01-02-2014 10:38 PM

Yes, it looks just like an Arkansas Crossroads, except for those corner units. Of course, the quilter could have just added them for color/decoration. I like the one on Pinterest, and see how you could follow the blocks easily enough for the layout.

All I know is it is beautiful.

mighty 01-03-2014 08:03 AM

edited to add: sorry--upon second look yours has an extra square instead of hst...but easy enough to modify.

I know it as 'Sunny Lanes'. Great way to use up scraps.

I also know it as "Arkansas Crossroads", and have made it several times. It's a quick quilt to make and really great for using up a lot of scraps:)

Vat 01-04-2014 04:47 AM

It is a wonderful block for using up scraps.

Yooper32 01-04-2014 05:21 AM

In "Loose Change", it is called Japanese Yen.

JanieH 01-04-2014 06:06 AM

zennia 01-04-2014 06:08 AM

My first thought was "chicklets". It is on my bucket list.

cherrio 01-04-2014 06:41 AM

wow, so many blocks have multiple names or just a little tweak and it can be a whole new block. love this one.

Marvel 01-04-2014 09:53 AM

I saw Billie Lauder demo this on Alex Anderson's show called Simply quilts. The name is Split 9 Patch. I have made this many times and its so easy to make. You will love making this . Helen Marvel

I agree with azwendyg - it's the Arkansas Crossroads block. If you look at it, there are blocks within the blocks, but it's fairly straight forward.
