Over the last say 11 years...I have done many, many blocks swaps, siggy swaps, etc, with online groups.

Part of my UFO's are all of these swap items. It seems there are never enough blocks to make a decent quilt out of, or the blocks are easy to work with, the colors don't go well with each other, you name it, there is an excuse for why these items are filling up an entire tub in my sewing room..taking up valuable walking space!

what have you all done with your swap items? Especially siggy blocks that you have no idea who those people are, or what group they came from etc.,...

Ummmm...... Mine all are still just blocks in my UFO tub. Some of the gals in my sewing group from church have put together quilts and then donated them to our local guild to be donated to local charities.
Someday I will put these together, maybe.

The only swaps I've been in are those where you select a focus fabric, send a 12-14" square of that fabric to the other quilters in the swap (usually 12 to 16), and they each make a quilt block for you, incorporating your focus fabric. That way you do have blocks that have at least that one fabric in common, and here's an example of what I was able to do with the blocks received in one of those swaps.

I am thinking I might donate most of mine as well..
I have some really nice ones from a batik swap, but there are only 18 of them and they are 8"! thinking a tote bag maybe???

now that is one HAPPY quilt!

I joined the swap here in Jan that ends in April that was like this. I am getting some great blocks back I chose Alaska themed FQ's to send out so I can make a cousin a quilt. He is going to LOVE this quilt!

I have 40 B&W with a bright center that I might work up quick as a charity quilt...

the rest, the odd siggies, etc...someone else can work with....I need room to sew!

I am guessing the clown fish was the focus fabric?

The blocks are just adorable, and your blue was the greatest to go with them! I love this quilt!

I have 148 siggies from last years swap and am taking them to retreat to finish in a braided quilt, I only got 12 black white and brights but love them, and the batik block swap is waiting for a border. Glad you posted this, I am going to make sure I get them done now. I have names of those on this board who made them. I don't swap on any other boards so this is easy. If you want to trade/sell me your black white and bright, I'd love it. I would be willing to bet more will show us their work. There are so many here who finsih their projects. LOL. I personally like UFOs'. Our guild is having a contest, every one you finish your name goe sin a box and there's a drawing. One way to spur us into action. Thanks for sharing.

make lots and lots of UFO's out of them. let them sit for years and then finally finish the quilts. and also give blocks away. i was in way too many swaps years ago!!
my present avatar is one siggy quilt i made up with siggy blocks from around the world from 2004 through 2008. these were the odd size ones i had to set aside for awhile till i had enough to make something with them.

I did four block swaps a couple years ago. Each swap only had enough blocks for a small throw size quilt (8 or 10 12" blocks) but for the first 3 swaps, we planned similar patterns and colors that look nice together so we could combine them in one quilt if we wanted. The first swap was scrappy purples, the second was blues and the third was greens. I played with them till they made a nice design and made a big quilt with all of them. I think I had one left over and I put it with my tote bag fabrics to put on the front of a tote. The 4th swap was a jewel tone jewel box block and it would have been a wallhanging probably, but I was moving at the time and everyone in the swap made me an extra block as a house warming gift, so it made a nice big throw size quilt! I bought all the black fabric for the background and mailed it to everyone so the black would match.
