Blockheads 5
I just saw that Blockheads 5 started today. I have so many scraps and I'm doing this to use them up and give me something to look forward to every Wed
Anyone else doing it? |
I love blockheads .... thanks Cindy, for the reminder
this is the link I use (they still have all the old blockhead patterns available for free here too, listed under free patterns): Bear Creek Quilting Co https://bearcreekquiltingcompany.com...kheads-V-2023/ |
Thanks for the heads up. I have heard about Blockheads but never explored it. I love sampler quilts. It's great that it starts off with a "label" always last in my creativity. Now to decide on colors.

I took a minute to read the info on Bear Creek Quilting Company. I will be joining the second group that starts on January 3. I have enough on my plate this fall, but a winter to summer project would be grand. Thanks for the heads up, cindyb. I added the date to my calendar and will follow along this fall but not likely be making any of the blocks.

Blockheads 2,3, & 4 are still available on this link too. They give us so many blocks in 2 different sizes (6" & 12") that you can pick and choose which ones you like best--which you want to make & which you don't. |
Toverly, you love samplers....you may find this one at Bear Creek fun too
Stitch Pink https://bearcreekquiltingcompany.com...quilt-sampler/ and the same site has an 18" block size sampler called Schoolhouse https://bearcreekquiltingcompany.com...h-blocks-2019/ |
I signed up for the FB group :) deja vu, sounds like the windup during the beginning of the bonnie hunter mysterys :)
I'm on vacation so no stash, but did some bartering this summer and know I have a fat quarter bundle of French General, so maybe I'll pick up a few 1/3 yards of that in Taos New Mexico Friday. Sound like a plan? If I jump in I'll be making the small blocks. |
BTW
I just wanted to add that the Bear Creek web site only posts downloadable patterns. If you want to join a group setting with the option of chatting online, you have to visit the Moda Blockheads private Facebook Group or go to each individual block designer's page(s) The designers of the blocks are listed under each block at Bear Creek This is the Moda Blockheads 5 kickoff page - it includes the blocks, patterns, and links to the designers: https://www.modafabrics.com/inspirat...ds-5-kick-week and instagram: #modablockheads5 and there is also a Moda Blockheads newsletter sign up page for news & updates here: https://modafabrics.com/inspiration-...ces/newsletter and look .... I found it on YouTube too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6tLGeuOQT8 |
