Uh Oh...after joining I have found so many wonderful ideas that now I want want want more fabric! I have so many new ideas in my head. Every evening my hubby comes home to, "Oh Wes look at this one, I have to make one similar!" Thanks everyone!!!

ann clare 06-19-2010 12:23 PM

Join the gang. It's great. Love it here. No time to get bored.

cjomomma 06-19-2010 12:26 PM

It's amazing as to the kind of trouble that you can get in to because of this board and all the ideas that there is. I have had to stop buying fabric because I need car parts and it is so hard. I went to Walmart today and I told DH I just need to look and touch the fabric's and then went on my way.

LastGrandma 06-19-2010 12:32 PM

I would not call it trouble -- just sweet inspiration! Even DH is impressed! But you have made it so impossible for me to keep up with the projects I want to do....purses, aprons, bargello quilts, the list is ever expanding thanks to you all! I am a better quilter by allowing all of you to stretch my imagination and test my abilities! Thanks so much!

I know we are bad for each other, but tell your husband you are in

Quilt Therapy!

sharon b 06-19-2010 12:45 PM

LOL Welcome to my world... oh except the husband part  I have so many to-do s I would have to live 3 lifetimes at least

walen 06-19-2010 12:51 PM

What I really need is a cook, housekeeper, and gardner, so I can design blocks, piece, and quilt. Somewhere between all my quilting I would take some time to fabric shop and shop for a longarm. Sigh, too many quilts--too little time.

I'm with you. I can't get around to everything I need to do, so my quilting has to be set aside.

Jim's Gem 06-19-2010 01:26 PM

Yea..... I spend way to much time here and when I see all the beautiful fabrics that everyone has bought or used in quilts, I want some of it too.....
Love to buy fabrics....
And all the wonderful tools and gadgets that everyone keeps bringing up....

amma 06-19-2010 01:41 PM

no1jan 06-19-2010 03:16 PM

Oh, I agree with you 100%. Since I have been on this board I have spent a fortune. Not only the fabric, patterns and notions, but because of Lostn51 and all of the people showing their wonderful machines, I have started collecting Vintage Sewing Machines, Yeah, Billy, I'm talking about you. Thank you!

But to be honest, this board is the best!

I have learned so much and met so many nice people. This board has changed my life, which may end sooner if I bring another machine into this house! LOL! :)

My granddaughter just doesn't understand all of the machines, she just says "Another one!" LOL.

Ninnie 06-19-2010 03:35 PM

My list has grown by leaps and bounds, and also my stash LOL
I love this place, makes me want to quilt twice as much. Now if I could just find twice as much time LOL

Boston1954 06-19-2010 04:38 PM

At my house it is, "Jim I have ideas for more quilts than I can make". And the response is "Whatever my little girl wants."

raptureready 06-19-2010 05:19 PM

Stick with us, girl, and one of these days Wes will come home and you'll be saying "Wes, is that you?" He'll answer, "Yes, which pile of fabric are you behind this time?"

wvdek 06-19-2010 05:29 PM

Lol

sueisallaboutquilts 06-19-2010 06:22 PM

You said it!!! I found that out about 2 weeks after joining!
I never realized I NEEDED a Featherweight until I read about all the great old machines. And all the online shopping sites, and and and !!! I can't believe all the info here, but the good thing is............ the FRIENDSHIP is free!!!! HUGS to all :D

978gray 06-19-2010 06:35 PM

Totally agree. I keep saying to myself..."No more fabric until the stash shrinks" and what did I do today stop in a LQS and bought some more fabric....It was just too pretty to pass up.

deedum 06-19-2010 08:10 PM

YOur right! I keep getting in deeper and deeper and deeper!Last week my DH agreed to bring my little garage sell find home for me,like I needed another one, I wasnt even looking. Couldn't believe he was willing to haul another vintage machine when I already have a sewing room full of machines. Sometime I am going to have to make something! Really!

littlehud 06-19-2010 08:49 PM

I know just what you mean. Too bad I'm loving it so much. Tee hee

hawghugger 06-20-2010 05:10 AM

Olivia's Grammy 06-20-2010 03:33 PM

Yep, there is always something I didn't know I needed and wonder how I got along with out.

GrammaNan 06-20-2010 06:01 PM

Welcome to the club. My head is always spinning with ideas now. I don't look at it as this board costing me money, I think of it as having saved me money. Even though I hadn't thought of some of the purchases until I saw them on the board, when I did get the idea, the board always gave me ideas on where to get it cheap. LOL!

galvestonangel 06-20-2010 08:58 PM

Not only more ideas, but I have learned more places to buy material on line. I am hooked on Missouri Star Quilts. Her tutorials have cost me a lot of money. I need to live another 100 years or so to make a dent in my material and ideas. And I keep buying. I think the Quilt Therapy had backfired.

Opps, me too

quilting memaw 06-21-2010 06:03 AM

Your Jim sounds like my Jim! LOL...he likes to read and look over my shoulder at all the quilts to. He helps me design my quilts. Makes my templates and things.

Pamela Artman 06-21-2010 06:17 AM

Nora, is that you? I thought I recognized you! When did you join this board? Lots of fun, isn't it???
