This Board is So Wonderful!
 

I just have to say it! I just read a thread about jelly rolls. I knew what jelly rolls are but had never seen a quilt made with them. Now I know what to do with jelly rolls! I've learned about FMQ on here, charm packs, fat quarters, and SID. I took a quilting class three years ago to learn how to make a baby quilt for my grandson. Now I'm cranking out lap quilts in about three weeks, doing all the quilting myself. this morning I started thinking about learning how to appliqué a block for quilting.

This board does have amazing members! Like you, I have learned so much from reading posts. I really do encourage you to try applique. It is really a fun part of quilting.

I stumbled on this board when I decided I wanted to try quilting! I had sewn for years but never quilted. I am still a novice but I have to say I have learned so much here!!!! Thank you everyone!!!!!!

I Spend more time here than on the machine! Shame on me!!! But it truely is made of of sooo many wonderful people like yourself and so many others! I love it!!

So many of us start out day here. Wouldn't it be fun to know how many come here on an average day?

I too have learned so much from the wonderful fellow quilters here. I start each morning here reading using the archive at the bottom of the page. That way I don't miss a thing. I think I am guilty as well of spending more time here than quilting, but I learn and am inspired by those who share. Just today a post on quilts on the floor, who would have thought. Another sip of coffee and on to the next. Oh, I almost forgot, I also have met 4 new friends on this board. We now meet and quilt together - so much fun.

I totally agree. This is a great place to learn, share and get inspired. Well, Murphy1, now I'm going to have to find the "quilts on the floor". See everyday I learn something new:)
