Bobbin issues

As I was changing my bobbin on my Juki 2010 and this squiggley thing appeared. Don't know where it came from or how to put it back. Any ideas?

It's bobbin spring. It goes back in easy. I take mine out when I'm using a Bobbin Geni. It will only fit a certain way so it's easy to tell if it is back in right.

See the two prongs each side? Two of them are closer together than the other two. Look at your bobbin case, and you can see where the two prongs fit on each side. The open part needs to fit where the open part of the bobbin case is. Orient the spring so its open part is at the open part of the bobbin case and the prongs match the holes in the case, and that's the way it goes.

Here's a video. |
your bobbin backlash spring--keeps your machine from leaving little loops from fast turns. they sometimes "wear out"--basically loose their springyness and need replacing.
