What do you do with the half filled bobbin after finishing a project?

You know, those bobbins with the special color thread ?

I use mine when I'm putting the binding on a quilt, after all, it's going to be covered up in the end, and I will then have an empty bobbin again. ;-) :thumbup:

I use some of them up when doing paper piecing...

I use up many of them putting hems in my niece's scrubs.
The rest I attach to the spool of like thread with Bobbin Buddies and store in my spool cabinet.
Sometimes I just plain unwind one of them to get a new empty bobbin! :D

I will use them for basting too :wink:

I use them on any project where I know the thread isn't going to show so who cares what color it is. I will also use it as a top thread, just load the bobbin on the spool and put a little cap over it to hold it steady.

Now why didn't I think of that!
