Mine only worked for a few months, then quit, it was on sale, and wasn't worth the postage to send it back.
I use mine all the time. Because I have a viking I had to buy the expensive one. Well worth it IMHO.
Love mine well worth the cost which isn't much

Such a speedy little thing! |

I bought many bobbins in bulk on ebay (for each of my machines, including original Viking green). I bought a "Wrights- SideWinder" from Joann's but haven't used it yet, as we also do a lot of remodeling around our house. When the dust (drywall or sawdust) is flying for months at a time...I put my machines & fabric safely out of harms way...in a nice outbuilding that is clean. We should have joined "remodeler's anonymous" years ago, per our children! I noticed Joann's also sells the Dritz "Better Bobbin Winder" for about the same price. Can some of you say which brand you've used when you state that you LOVE it! CT |
I wonder where some of you live that find the Joann's bobbin winder for $20...here is the current link @ Joann's online, one is $34, the other is $39. Wright's- http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/p...DID=xprd315882
Dritz -http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/p...en=10582594436 Even w a 50% off coupon, these would go for $17 or more. I know I paid even more than that for mine. |
Several friends bought them and never realized the spindles were different sizes from one to another and they don't fit many machines - I tried my Pfaff, Vikings and neither will work. I just wind up a mess of them before a project.
I also love mine for my old Singers. Each one is a little different, and I don't have to remember how to wind bobbins on each machine.

Thanks ladies.....I think I need one now :-D
I wouldn't do without mine. Worth every penny.

I have a Brother bobbin winder that I'd like to sell - they are pretty expensive but can we list those on the classified sections or is it just fabric? Maybe I read it and didn't see it....

I really like my side-winder (think that is what it is called). Mine is pink which accepts the Viking Rose machine's bobbins. As far as I know the Viking will not take the pre-wound. I normally wind 3-4 in advance (depends on what I am sewing)and if I don't have enough so easy to wind another bobbin or two on the fly without having to unthread and rethread my machine. Saves wear and tear on your machine and is small enough to take with you to quilt classes, retreats, camps, etc.
I have a Sidewinder that I use to wind bobbins for my Voyager 17 quilting machine as I can't wind them on any of my other machines.
I love mine, wouldn't wind a bobbin with my machine.
I use mine every day --- wouldn't be without it!
spend your money on fabric!!!
I have one and I love it.
on't know why.

not worth the money in my sewing room, won't work properly on my machine, winds uneven. Got mine with a gift certificate so it was not my money but I could have purchased material. Never seen the expensive one someone mentioned, maybe that is my problem.
I bought mine at JoAnns using a coupon. I use my all the time. I love the fact that I don't have to unthread my machine, wind the bobbin, and then rethread my machine. It is one of my MUST HAVES in my sewing room. I have not regretted buying mine. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! LOL
