For those who have the bobbin winders are they worth he money? They aren't expensive but if they aren't worth it then the money can go towards fabric.

I use one all of the time. I like it.

I see alot of people ask about these. Since most people piece in 1 color, why not just get extra bobbins and wind 15 or 20 of them at one time? That way you will have another one to go to right away. When they start getting low just stop and wind a bunch more. I got 50 bobbins off e-bay for $5.00 with free shipping. I would rather have the money for something else quilty. :D

Thanks!

Love mine...and I have the cheap version. I have seen one that retails for almost $100, but way too expensive for me.
I keep a light colored spool and darker spool on at all times. Sure is handy when quilting and I don't have to stop and thread a bobbin on my machines. Love it. |
Linda, I love mine.
It's especially nice when you have one than one machine. I especially love it for my old Singers. Well worth the cost! |
I got mine for free and would pay for another if needed. I love the ease of not having to stop and rethread my machine.

It is handy when you need it. Yes, you can make extra bobbins, I do that too, but sometimes we forget and as Susan Margaret said, when you have multiple machines, it can be a lifesaver. Not a necessity but handy.

I use mine all the time and really like it. I was a skeptic at first, but bought mine on sale with a Joann's 50% off coupon and am so glad I did. Go for it.
