Bobbin winder
 

have the HQ Sweet 16. The bobbin winder came with it. All of a sudden the bobbin won't stay on the post. They are the bobbins I bought with the machine. Haven't changed any setting and the first bobbin using this thread worked fine. In the middle of the quilt I needed a new bobbin. I didn't check the back. OMG eyelashes. I have now ripped them out and was going to wind another bobbin but it keeps falling off the post and won't wind. Duh, have I forgotten something about loading it on? Went thru the bobbin manual and cannot find anything relating to this problem.:(

Is this the first time you are using these bobbins? Sounds like the hole might be too big.

Handi Quilter has a video of how to adjust your bobbin winder. If I'm not mistaken, I think the post you put the bobbin on can be adjusted by spreading the two prongs. Anyway, check out the video.

Scarey tho, being metal it could crack. But will give it a try.

I have never liked the bobbin winder that came with my Sweet Sixteen. I wind all my bobbins with my little Sidekick. It works great!
