BOM for 2017

I want to do a BOM for 2017. I am searching for a free one. Something that looks nice but not too difficult. I have searched and looked at some. Anyone know of any good ones?

I was looking in the section called Blocks of the Week and Month here on QB and saw that there was a BOM back in 2014 and 2015 but not 2016. Maybe it will be offered again this year.

Blockcentral.com has free BOM patterns

Craftsy does a Free box every year

This is a 2016 BOM that my friend and I are doing. We each make 2 of the blocks and then swap one and keep one. This was the BOM from a guild in Florida. Not the easiest instructions to follow, but the blocks sure are gorgeous.

Just reading QB this morning...seems a new 2017 BOM is starting.......might be of interest to you. I'm almost tempted!

If you're interested, here is another free BOM: http://alidatweloqdesigns.blogspot.c...-qal-2017.html.

I did hers from last year and it was a lot of fun. She does skill blocks.

Craftsy now has their free 2017 BOM available. Instead of doing it over the year they have now given all of the lessons up front so you no longer have to wait and can work at your own pace.

wbfrog 01-04-2017 09:58 AM

Pat Solan has BOM, and Craftsy usually have one also, and Nancy Zieman.

meanmom 01-04-2017 06:19 PM

Thanks of all of the help. I love the Crafsy one. I will probably have to make it myself. Unfortunately it is probably too difficult to use for my quilt guild. We have such a wide range of skill levels.

I just found the link for the Craftsy 2017 block of the month program. Yay! I thought you had to buy the kit to get the program but just noticed the link!

Here's another option:

The Academic Quilter http://academicquilter.blogspot.com/ is doing a BOM for the RSC17 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) http://superscrappy.blogspot.com/201...enge-2017.html. Here's the post for her first block: http://academicquilter.blogspot.com/...lt-purple.html
