Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Do you have a pattern?

Oh thank you. I do have a pattern but hard to understand what to do with strips. Do I sew all of them together and then cut pattern? I know it is late so if you want to answer another time it is OK with me.

If the purse sections are cut out of larger pieces then the strips size, I think you would need to sew them together to create the fabric first? It is hard to tell without knowing what the purse looks like.

Can you post a picture of the purse you want to make? Or give us the name of the pattern so someone that has it or has made it can offer some help.

More info needed....name of pattern would help. Bonitohannah...is that your name? Welcome to QB.....

as mentioned, there are probably hundreds of purse patterns made from strips, all with different techniques. If you provide the pattern name (and author/publisher) we can help!

Above is a link to a post I made with photos on how to make a quilted tote bag. I hope this helps.

It looks to me they do a type of quilt as you go - meaning you have the backing, the batting, and then you sew the strip on one at a time. There are a lot of instructional videos if you google "Quilt as you go strips".
