Bonnie Hunter Box Kite

Does anyone know where you can get the pattern for Bonnie Hunter's Box Kite quilt. I didn't buy that issue of Quiltmaker May/June (i think). I didn't see it on her site it just refers to Quiltmaker. The border finishes this quilt off nicely!

you can figure it out just from the photos here. Shows the block and the whole quilt.

The squares are 2.5 unfinished, 2" finished. I found using these FREE printed papers ( like the thangle method) a great help as you can make 18 half square triangles at a time and no tiny fabric pieces.

Be sure when printing them, you turn off the "fit to paper size" option on the printer. And measure the square in the corner to be sure it is printing the proper size.

It looks likes will need to make lots!!! of 2 1/2 half square triangles that finish 2 inches with 2 1/2 inch squares. She rights that the blocks measure 6 inches. I'm thinking of doing it bits at a time between other projects next year

They are just Split Nine Patch blocks in a different arrangement. You could make them any size you wanted. I think I would do 3 1/2 inch squares and triangle units for a finished 9 inch block.

I think she eventually puts the discontinue free patterns in a book that she then sells.
