Does anyone know where I can get quilting (reg. or paper pieced)
patterns for bookmarks?
Thanks

Sorry, no, but it's a terrific idea. I'm going to make myself one or two bookmarks. I assume you basically do a top and attach it directly to a back, then bind it? No real need for batting? Or maybe a thin piece of cardboard?

Thanks everybody for thinking of me!

There are lots of ways to make the top for the bookmarks. You can use some simple methods like strips or crazy quilting or you can use some of my methods. They can be pieced or embroidered or appliqued or crossstitch. I have designed some crossstitch bookmarks that my friend Dorothy has done the crossstitch and I added borders and backed them.
I make my bookmarks without any batting and I sew them face to face like a pillow and then turn them rightside out. I don't do binding but you can if you like.

I can help you with patterns for the bookmarks if I know what you are looking for. Just let me know if I can help. Rhonda

Here is a tutorial that I did on my Boston Block bookmarks. I also included alot of bookmark designs in my latest ebook Star Point Blocks

There are lots of variations also that you can do if you like. A friend of mine added a strip of elastic so she could anchor it on the page and her DGS can't shake it out of her book. Another friend suggested adding heatnbond? inside for a little more stiffness.
I spray mine with sizing and let it set and it gets pretty stiff.
Some like to add ribbons etc. All kinds of ideas to make them special!
