I want to put on my Christmas "wish list" a book or two about quilt borders, both for my own benefit and imagination and because of my participation in the IRR. Does anyone have suggestions of book titles they'd recommend about borders?
Thanks, Joanne |
I have two books that I use alot, they are "The Border Workbook" by Janet Kime, and "The Quilters Edge" by Darlene Zimmerman.
I bought them at a JoAnn's, I think they would make nice gifts. Hope this helps. |
Thank you, Donna. I've written down the titles and authors and will check them out.

i have a couple i keep referring back to. let me go look . . .
this one has some nice ideas in it http://www.amazon.com/Border-Workboo...3138134&sr=8-1 and this one i refer to often, although it's really more 'edges of quilts' than borders http://www.amazon.com/Happy-Endings-...3138205&sr=1-1 this one i've gotten from the library. it has some nice ideas in it. http://www.amazon.com/Beautiful-Bord...3138243&sr=1-2 |
I have one called "Pieced Borders, The Complete Resource" by Judy Martin and Marsha McCloskey. I have never used it but keep thinking about it. Paid $20 for the thing several years ago. Oh, well, maybe someday in the future I will get adventurous (sp).

I have a really good book on different types of borders at home. I'm at work right now and can't remember the name of it. E-mail me at [email protected] to remind me when I get home. I have a quilt class tonight but I'll get it for you. It a progressive quilt where you add borders as a learning experince.
