It's the Queen Bees mysteries. They are cute and fun and I'd love to have a group of women to meet at a local quilt store like that:)And who couldn't like to have 'Po' as a friend too:)

Also,like the 'A Single Thread' and can find that at wally world right now....it is good and has a very sad part...but, who can't enjoy a read about starting up a quilt store?:)Skeat

I've read about the first six last summer and really liked them. I have several more I am saving for this summer as I don't get a lot of time to read in the winter time with work and all. I am trying to read them in order.

I too tried the Benni Harper books and couldn't seem to get into them. The first one I read was okay, but reading the second one just seemed a repeat of the first. Just way too much alike for my liking.

I came across a new author. Terri Thayer is her name and she writes murder/mystery. I think she has only 2 out now, a good, light, quick read.

Just heard about the Elm Creek series on the bus to Paducah! Finished the first one in the series, and requested the second from the library. It was okay. Will withhold further judgment until I read another book or two. :?

I do prefer mysteries, so I did enjoy the Persian Pickle Club better. :lol:

Have been collecting the Earlene Fowler books and will try to gather them all and read them in sequence.

I just listened to "Round Robin" on the playaway audio books from the library. If you aren't familiar with playaway's they are smaller than a cell phone and you just need a AAA battery and earphones. They hold the complete book.

I also belong to the "Books for the Blind" as I have difficulty reading with no center vision, can only see 3 letters at a time. They have just sent me another book in the series. The only problem is I don't get them in the right sequence.

I found the first very enjoyable and the hint about threading the needle was great! Works for me as I can't seem the holes.

Jennifer is a good writer, she makes you feel what the characters feel.
I bought all her books used from Amazon and read a few from the Library but they didnt have the first ones. Best to read in order.

She has a newer one called the Aloha Quilt coming out next Tuesday (I think).. It was reading her books that got me started quilting.

I love those books. My sister gets me one every time there is an "occasion". She got me a book with block patterns in it for Christmas last year and I've used one of those block patterns already. Love it.

They are great reading!! I just ordered the newest one this afternoon "The Aloha Quilt". I have read them all in order of release and am currently half way through A Quilters Holiday. I enjoy good down to earth books. Also recommend the Thomas Kinkade series based on a small New England coastal town.
