border on a DWR quilt

I am making my first DWR quilt. I am using Sharlene Jorgenson's pattern and templates. I have a question for putting a border on the quilt and her book and videos don't show this.

I am giving this to my nephew for a wedding gift and to have this fit on their bed "just right" I would like a little more width.... not quite another ring though. So I think a border would be good.

Does anyone know where there are directions for adding the border? I looked in the photo gallery here and there were a good number of them with the border. I have attached one that I would like to model mine after posted by harvsstuff

In my head I think I could just use the back ground template to get the curve then I could just piece from there. Does that make sense?

I can't remember seeing any border on a DWR. That is different. I would assume the easiest way is to applique it onto the border.

I have seen a border on a DWR. The rounded edges were appliqued on to a wide border piece squaring up the sides. It was very pretty that way.

That DWR with the borders is very pretty. Did you try private messaging her?

I'm thinking appliquing onto border just like if doing a GFG with a straight edge border.......
