border or no border
 

Another crumb quilt for charity.
I have enough of the wine colored fabric for a border but not sure if it needs it or something else.

Anxious to finish it. Sometimes I have it borderless and do a pillow case finish.

Then on to quilting with my embroidery machine with stars in different sizes.

So .... if you are anxious to finish it, then go borderless.
Sandwich, quilt and bind .... and it's done and gone!

I always think they don't look "finished" until a border .... But see plenty without. If you want it done - go without. The advantage of with... It will finish off the extra wine fabric.

Maybe just a thin border of that color would work.

My usual decision maker on whether or not to add a border is based on size- is it an ok size or does it need to be a bit bigger. If I’m happy with the size i forego the border if I think I want it bigger- border it is.

I think a pink or wine border would be perfect.

What a great way to use up crumbs! I think you could go either way. I think a wide binding would be nice for 'borderless'. It would still frame it.

Since you asked - you have wine color fabric so I’d do the border. A little extra length & width never hurts a quilt. It’s very nice.

I'd vote for a border for this one.

I will use a wine colored border and then use a pillow case finish.

The I have to tackle the left over squares now. Almost there. Just have to finish a few more blocks. Always like to get another quilt from leftovers.

Then another good reason to not border it up ..... keep the extra wine fabric to put with your leftover blocks in making that next quilt!

i have plenty of fabric for both quilts. coming along nicely the 2nd one. will post it later.

I prefer borders when I have the right color.

Beautiful colors and think a border would finish it off nicely.
