To me, all of your border options detract from the beauty of the main part of the top. You haven't mentioned how you intend to quilt the top, but here's what would appeal to me. I would add the narrow gold border of option #5. then I would add a single wide border of rust or green. Then I would quilt that wide border with the design that's shown in your border design of option #5. That would then carry on the design of the main part without detracting from it.
I guess I'm in the "sometimes simpler is better camp". https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/boy.gif Whatever you decide, it's going to be a beautiful quilt. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png Jim |
I like the second one the best - its intricacy matches the quilt. Really like the rust on the outside too, changes it from being just a frame.

I think that is just beautiful. I love #2, with #5 being a close second. I love the framing the wider border gives it. What ever you chose, it will be gorgeous!

I like the 2nd one with the burnt orange on the outside. To me the Burnt orange is sort of an accent color in the interior of the quilt, and using it on the outside closes out the edge of the quilt very nicely.

# 2 or # 5.

Beautiful Quilt! No. 2 is my favorite. I like the extra wide border as I think it frames in nicely and I like the red on the outside edge the best.

I looked at all of options before reading the comments, I am so easily influenced! I chose the 5th picture. Wider, with the rusty color setting off the space between quilt and the pattern in the border. What perfection! Beautifully done.

You nailed it with that last one! Destined to becoming an heirloom ♡♡♡.

#2 has my vote
quilt top is fabulous, good job! |
I like #2 best - Red on the outside, green on the inside.
