When doing a border with a directional print, which way do you put it on? Should the sides and bottom have the fabric right side up, or upside down? Does this make sense?

I turn my fabric which ever way I think looks best.

I personally face them all toward the center, or, I arrange them so the downward part of the design points toward the bottom of the quilt.

I do the same.

I like mine right side up on all 4 sides.

After you've cut them, try them all. See which you like

ditto ... it really depends on what the directional print is.

Just be sure to be consistent in whatever you decide to do. If there's seams in the border strips, match the pattern. IMHO often times, when using directional prints the corners look best when mitred.
