I listen to the oldies too.

I have Sirius radio in the car and sometimes I don't want to get out of the car!

I love to listen to music when I sew.

I LOVE the oldie music..but no radio in my sewing room...SO next best thing...OLDIE movies...nothing like some Doris Day, kathryn Hepburn, Debbie REynolds...you name it, I might have it...I have over 300 VHS movies..and about 150 DVD's that are all old classics or just GOOD old movies!

All good ideas. I too listen to audio books, and the radio when working on various aspects of my project.

I do the same and I'm living overseas. Because I have a library card from FL I can download the books and listen as I sew. It's wonderful...

I have had Sirus for about 5 years now and love it, I think we listen to the same station.

If you get something with earphones, you won't disturb Kitty.

I do long arm quilting and there are days that are hard to stay with it so have tried both XM radio and books on tapes. Anything to occupy my mind.

I multi task all the time at work but find I work and sew pretty much with no background noise at all. No music, no audio books. Sometimes the family is with me and we watch TV but mostly I say, "What happened? What did she just say?"
I can't seem to do both with any amount of comprehension.

I rarely stay in my quilting room for more than 30 minutes at a time. Maybe because I don't drink or smoke in there, but perhaps LOUD music would help. I must block out the drone of the TV my husband is watching in the adjacent room.
