Boston Commons, Trip Around the World
 

Are the Boston Commons and Trip Around the World quilt the same pattern? I have a hard time telling the difference. Would love to see photos if you have made either of these.

to me, BC is a rectangular pattern on the bed, TATW is diamond shaped on the bed

They are similar but not the same.

This is my understanding also but recently I did see a picture of a quilt that the poster called Trip Around the World but to me would be a Boston Common pattern.

I learn something new everyday here! I always thought they were the same, and I have never heard of the name Boston Common! I made a baby quilt with the BC setting and just thought it was a TATW. :)
