I am doing bow tie blocks right now and mine are finished 6" but I have a pattern for an 8" finished and will give you the dimensions that the pattern states. Cut 2-4 1/2" background fabric squares and cut 2-4 1/2" squares of bow tie fabric then cut 2-2 1/2" squares of bow tie fabric. I am sure you know how to assemble this but if you need me to send you my graph that I did, I will be happy to do that. You can PM me your address and I will send it to you. Good luck and I am sure you will do fine.

Thank you Jordan for the dimensions. I want to do it the traditional way, but may change my mind and your dimensions are perfect for the 8" block.

For the record: this is my own graphic and quilt.

Thanks for the great instructions for this quilt. I will definitely try it as this as this is one of my favorite patterns.

Jan in VA, thanks for the visual. I understand things better when I can see it.

Oh, yes...that is a fun thing....hmm, I have a box of those somewhere....will look today, if enough for a tablerunner, another UFO bites the dust! Also have an in progress regular one like Bonnie Hunter's - using cheddar cheese color as background....looking good!
