Hi-
I've seen a few people posting their creations..just wondering where you got the directions/pattern as I would like to try to make one. Thanks! |
Haven't made it yet, but I bought the pattern from Connecting Threads at http://connectingthreads.com
Most LQS have the pattern - think it is about $8.00.
I actually have one that someone made me. I have been thinking about making one, but want a little smaller bag. I have found a couple free patterns online, but haven't made them yet.

Here is a tutorial on it but you have to purchase the pattern.I paid $9.00 at the LQS. |
I got mine through Connecting Threads. A tute would have been nice too.
I like this tute and am going to order the pattern to make one, hopefully before summer ends. One tip I have about the bottome stiffener. When I make purses, I take a cheap plastic place mat (from dollar store) and use that (1 or 2 ply) instead of cardboard. It is waterproof and won't bend or tear. Once it's covered in cloth, no one can see the design anyway and I get several of them out of one placemat.
A placemat is a good Idea!! They are so much fun and easy to make.
I am going to do one of these bags some time, but I dont need a pattern. After you get familiar with bag construction, you can look at one and see how its done.
