Bowl Cozy?..note to include?
Is there a cute note or saying that can be included with a gift of bowl cozy's.
If so, please share....Google hasn't been helpful! Thanks! Ginger |
I couldn't find anything either and I am not coming up with anything off the top of my head. "Something special to keep your hands cool when your food is hot!"
|
I too googled.....it was a failure!!
I'm bummed I was hoping there would be something. Thanks |
And a mention of microwaving no more than 2 minutes at a time.

This is a little fabric bowl,
To keep you from being burned, When your microwaved bowls are hot, A lesson I have learned. Just put your bowl in it, While it's being microwaved. And from those painful burns, Your pretty hands will be saved. This is the poem I got when I first made them. I don't remember where I found it, but it works for me. |
Just a note that says for your bowl after it comes out of the microwave please don;t put me in
|
Thanks so much for the ideas ladies!!

My good friend sells 100's of these (I am not joking!). I printed a small cute note than she adds to each set. It says 'microwave soup potholder. use for reheating not cooking'. We have tested with 4 and 5 minutes, but we feel it is safer to recommend no more than 3 minutes. Obviously, everything is 100% cotton - no poly anywhere. FYI - my kids love to use them to hold their ice cream bowls!

Lormito, I love your poem. I played around with it some and added these verses. They are not the best but maybe someone can help tweak them.
But be warned I should be warmed For 3 minutes or less So the best I will perform. But give me something cold Or a way to help little hands And I will be there forever Helping the kids and grands. |

Bowl cozy poem
Wrote this this morning....feel free to use if you like it!
A bowl cozy I am, In the microwave I go. Wrapped around your bowl, 3 minutes or less, yo? Food stays warm, Hands stay chill. And if you are sloppy and have a spill. In the washer we can go, With your favorite wash soap pill! Then to the dryer for a damp dry spin, And once again your hands come in. They shape and tug and make us fit, That favorite bowl where your food does sit! roxen |
Bowl cozy protects your hands
From microwaved food and more. Perfect for reheating, It’s machine washable, then store! -Autumn |
All of you are Poets, Thanks for all of this.

My label isn’t “cute”, but it matches the Pellon Wrap ‘n Zap labeling.
”These cozies are designed to be used in the microwave to keep your hands cool while your food gets hot. Place a bowl with food in the cozy and heat for no more than two minutes. A total of two additional two minute cycles is fine if a brief time is allowed between cycles. Pick up the bowl by using the corners of the cozy. These also work great to keep your hands warm when eating ice cream. Machine wash war, draw low. Push back into shape as needed. 100% cotton.” I printed it on card stock and pin it to the cozies so it doesn’t get lost in the packaging. I don’t sell, but these go on the presents I am making. |
I wrote this one for mine.

All of you are undiscovered poets !
I just want to say I have Raynaud’s phenomenon and can’t stand the cold. The times when I eat ice cream I HAVE to use these. So shout out to whomever came up with this pattern idea!!! my daughter asked for a set for Christmas one year-they like them too |
