Brainstorm
The other day when I was in the sewing room, I decided to dust the surfaces of my furniture in the room. My swifter cloths were downstairs and I didn't want to run down the stairs again. I looked around and grabbed a small piece of leftover batting. It dawned on me that I have quite a collection of batting scraps that could be cut to swifter size and used for dusting or use in the swifter for the hardwood floors. I wonder how many others have overlooked this great source. Reusable, too!

I have been using batting as a dust cloth and it does work great. I don't need it on the swiffer because I bought some washable covers.

Flannel is a good item too--love it as a Swiffer

Some years ago there was a post about using scraps of batting like the above.

I like using batting to dust too. And flannel...and socks. :D

I use batting scraps on that floor Swiffer thing whatever it's called. It sticks to the bottom of it and away I go. Works great!

I hear of people using polar fleece, but the batting scrap pile is growing by leaps and bounds. Good use!

I have been using fleece but I will be trying out your batting suggestion. Thank you for this idea.

I've never thought of cutting to the Swiffer size, but I have used little pieces for dusting from time to time. They are really handy. I also use tiny bits to make my thimble stay on better.

What a great idea! I've been using old washcloths, so now I have another option - thanks!
