Brands other than Sew Steady?

Are there other manufacturers that make a table/platform for your sewing machine besides Sew Steady? I’m thinking of getting one and I don’t want to overlook any options. Thanks!

Yes just google...portable sewing machine tables or folding sewing machine tbales.

bonnie hunter uses one that is adaptable to any machine she praises very highly, made by a small family business.
I don't remember the name but am putting this info here, someone with a bigger brain than mine will remember.

Thanks! I'm actually looking for an

extension

table to put on top of my sewing machine table

, but my brain was flubbing on the term. That should help me with google, but I'm also hoping that people will be willing to share their experiences with particular ones they've used.

I bought a used combo machine a while back...they included a huge 24" S Steady table, but it doesn't fit the machine! I don't know which it fits!!

Try www.tailormadetables.com

I bought one from him several years ago for my featherweight - great legs, and nice finish - even a built in ruler and carrying handle. Highly recommend - no relation to vendor

Have you considered making your own? I made my topper for my table to basically inset my machine so the bed is level with the entire surface of the table out of foam insulation and vinyl very very cheaply (like, $20-25?). I followed this youtube tutorial by Marguerita McManus (https://youtu.be/g14govA4pIM) except the insulation they had at my hardware store was a little different. Most stores will do a couple cuts for free, so if you already know the dimensions you want, it's even easier! I love it, it's fantastic to have such a huge surface to quilt and work on, and it was super cheap :D

One note: I taped down the sides of the vinyl to cover all the exposed edges of the foam so that there was no concern about the quilt pulling up the edge of the vinyl. She leaves hers loose in her tutorial, but I used packaging tape to tape everything down and 5-6 years later, it's still holding together perfectly.

I have a sew steady table for my machine, I love it and use it with one machine all the time.
