Ditto! Fast machine, slow hands is the rule. Scary at first, but it really works....

I also like to use a little larger needle for quilting than piecing :D:D:D

Any kind of good grade thread you'd like. I've used cotton, cotton poly and poly. It's just he look is different. Make sure you are using the correct needle size for the thread you are using.
