Has anyone ever broken a ruler? Mine fell onto the concrete floor in the garage and took a big chunk out of the edge. It's right near the top. I'm wondering if I took it to a glass place if they could cut off the top 2 inches so it would still be usable. It's my 6x24 ruler. :(

I saw a new and improved one at the LQS - it's 8x24, but $27! I like the Creative Grid brand & can't find it at my Joanns, 'cause then I could use a coupon.

I just chipped mine this week. I need a new one too, but I'm waiting for a coupon to hobby lobby

they CAN cut them, but make sure the edge will be smooth and the price is better than buying a new one.

Ouch!

Try a hardware store. There is one in my town where I can get acrylic templates made at a very reasonable price. They may not charge you at all to make the cut.

Your local hardware that cuts plexiglass for window replacement should be able to cut it off for you. You would then need to sand it so the edge is not sharp.

Lowes can cut them too. We got plexyglass there before and the have the blade that could cut it.

That had to be heartbreaking. I hope they can fix it for you.

Guess I'll try the hardware store. Can't hurt asking & it may work. Thanks!

I broke mine about 3 years ago, accidentally stepped on it, I super glued together, it's still together.
