Do you have this machine and have you successfully machine quilted small projects or small quilts? I'm wanting to learn machine quilting and was wondering how difficult/easy it would be using this machine.

I do have that machine and have used it many times for lap and twin size quilts. I have found that if I lower the feed dogs, turn the tension back 3-4, stitch length at 1, med stitch speed, pedal to the metal and keep a nice slower pace when moving the fabric, that I can get a good stitch on both sides. If I move the fabric too fast I get eyelashing on curves. Work at getting the tension right on a practice sandwich and before long you will be quilting away! I don't think the throat area is big enuf for a large quilt without lots of squishing and manhandling - for me it also includes lots of not so nice words
