Wow, that's pretty high tech.

susie-susie-susie 08-28-2012 11:28 AM

Wow, that is amazing. It seems like they are creating machines that do everything for you. Soon the machine will make the whole quilt for you!!!

That's a cool feature.

virtualbernie 08-28-2012 03:06 PM

They named it right--DREAMweaver! I'll never be able to afford something so nice

Deborahlees 08-28-2012 03:31 PM

thats like my husband had on his power saw....bough time we caught up.....a laser line COOL......................

misskira 08-28-2012 06:33 PM

I'm pretty sure I'm in love with that thread cutting/reverse pedal. The laser is knifty too. You would think someone would have thought up an aftermarket laser like that already for cheap enough to stick to the machine.

Dolphyngyrl 08-28-2012 08:56 PM

Don't forget about the new impressive looking walking foot.

Yakkity 08-28-2012 10:49 PM

Cool! neat features! I'll take 1 please.; )

sandy l 08-29-2012 04:17 AM

Wonder if that would work on anything other than a Brother?

majormom 08-29-2012 06:19 AM

Wow! I wish there were a Dreamweaver in my future! What an innovative machine! Tho' my machine keeps plugging along, and I am in no need of a new one, I would make a large space for a Dreamweaver!

lillybeck 08-29-2012 08:00 AM

I want one. This is probably very help.

BellaBoo 08-29-2012 08:06 AM

I told DH that every widow in my guild had the top of the line sewing machine and trades in for the newest model as soon as it comes out and I know he didn't want me to wait to be a widow to have one so it just may be my Christmas gift. I want to compare the Dreamweaver to the new Bernina coming out in Oct.

kuntryquilter 08-30-2012 04:17 AM

Now that would be nice.

Does any one know where to get a lazer light for any machine as an attachment. Love this!

BellaBoo 08-30-2012 04:49 AM

I don't think it is available as an attachment. I think you could use a laser level behind your machine on the table. It wouldn't get in your way when chain piecing. Right now I'm using this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5Lh-b45IKY It's so much better then the hard plastic one you have to tape to the machine.

Caswews 08-30-2012 04:53 AM

very interesting for sure !

wishfulthinking 08-30-2012 05:55 AM

Anyone know how much this machine costs?

kqqlme1147 08-30-2012 07:41 AM

I talked to my Brother dealer yesterday and they think will be in store by mid to late September. The XE will sell in the $8000.00 range. I can'twait. I am retiring soon and planing to look into a mid arm, think this might be the best choice. Think of an 11 inch opening to machine quilt. Can you tell I am excited!!

Umm, I've seen little battery operated small pen sized laser lights at the dollar store with about 6 different tips. There must be a way to rig one up. Has anyone tried to rig one up.

quiltmom04 08-30-2012 09:11 AM

I just saw the machine at the dealer today, and that laser thing really does seem ( seam!) cool. You can also use the pointer to move the needle position and point to where you want to stop.

I tried this machine last week at the AQS show here in my town. It was totally awesome. They had a special pricing for the duration of the show. The machine was $4,500(500 off the retail price when it comes out in October ). That special price also included for FREE a $2,000 sewing cabinet (a really nice model that opens up to a huge table top, with drawrers for storage) and the three piece carrying totes (retail about $250). I was SOOOO tempted to reserve one since it was such a good deal,a nd the vendor is two minutes away from where I live. However, I reluctantly decided I was too new at this quilting hobby, and needed to wait awhile.:(

Anyway, I don't think you'll regret it. There's not much this machine won't do. ENJOY

nstitches4u 08-30-2012 06:36 PM

Every time I think they couldn't possibly make these machines do more, they surprise me.
