Brother P770 embordiery machine

Looking for an embordiery machine, and definitely was going to a dealer, but came across this machine on the JCPenny's web site. Never gave it a thought to look there, but because of crafting month, it's like pretty reasonable. Like $585.00 I think. Anyone else out there that has this machine and if they like it or dislike it. I am leary about buying it from here, but the price is great. I haven't went anywhere yet to try them out, so need an easy machine to self learn. Really I don't have the time to run all over, so any information from anybody would be great. Thanks in advance.

I don't have the 770 but have the SE400, combo embroidery and sewing. I bought it online from Amazon. I have had it a year and have had no problems with it. I buy a lot of things from Amazon, just about monthly, and have never had a problem. Why are you leary about buying it from JCP website?

I don't have that particular model but I've had 3 Brother embroidery machines and love them all. This one has the 5x7 so if you can afford it I'd definitely go with that, my first one just had 4x4 and tho I loved it I was so glad to get another with a bigger embroidery area and the 5x7 is the one I use most.

I have that machine. It was very easy to learn how to use it. It says it can use up to a 5 x 7 hoop, but I have a 5 x 12 hoop I use on it as well.
I ordered mine from here: http://www.mrvacandmrssew.com/brothe...age-p-724.aspx

And I also bought the Grand slam package too. I ordered my 5 x 12 hoop off of Amazon.com. That set came with a 4 x 4, a 5 x 7 and the 5 x 12 along with a few spool of thread. So now I have two 5 x 7 hoops for the machine. Which is great from making embroidered blocks quicker.

I guess the reason why not from Penny's is that I don't associate sewing with that store. I also heard that some stores, was mentioned as having cheapen up the machine using plastic instead of metal components to make the machine cheaper priced. Who has said this, dealers that I have talked to over the phone. Mind you they didn't want to lose a sale, so who do I believe, but someone that has this machine and bought elsewhere. That is why when someone questions something this is such a good site.

I have it, wish I had waited a couple of months and bought something with a better screen. When you download something into the machine you can't even tell what it is, sometimes it's kind of a guessing game. I'll sell you mine for 425. It's brand new, still got the box

I own three Brother machines and one is an embroidery machine. I love them all. I purchased all of mine from www.allbrands.com
They have FREE shipping, great prices and super fast delivery (mine came in 3 days each time I ordered) and they are an authorized dealer. I am only a loyal customer of theirs.
