Brother PE 700ii ??

Currently have a Baby Lock Crescendo, and a Baby Lock Elizabeth that I take to classes. Now I want an embroidery machine. No room or $$$ for an expensive machine, and I don't know if I would use it enough to justify a big expense. Am looking at the Brother pe700ii. Any thoughts on this? Anyone have one of these? All comments appreciated. Thanks.

The only thing that I have learn is be sure to be content with the smaller hoop size. The lesser priced embroidery machines tend to have a smaller hoop.

I have the PE770, not sure what the differences are between that and the PE700ii. I like mine, I don't use it a LOT but it's been very reliable and easy to use when I have used it. The only problems I've had have all been caused by either user error (using the wrong stabilizer, etc.) or by poor materials (cheap thread that just shredded).

It came with a 5x7 hoop and can use a longer hoop to do continuous designs. I don't think it can go much wider than that. (Not actually sure, though.)

Can't help much, but there are 15 reviews of this machine on Amazon (and some comparisons to the PE770, which also has reviews on Amazon): http://www.amazon.com/Brother-PE700I...dp/B0013J8F9U/

I found only one review of it at patternreview.com . To read it, you need to register there (free) and log in:
