I have read the posts here on the board about comapring theses two machines, but I can't seem to find anything diffrent about the 2 of them. There is a $100 price diffrrence though.

Any brother machine can do the disney designs and they both have the card reader and usb port. I have been watching You Tube videos on them today.

The links are:

Brother PE700II

Any ideas would be great please, and your input if you have 1 of these machine.
Thanks, Hugs!

It looks like on the brother website that the Brother PE700II is not availible from them any more it is an older machine.

So the Brother PE770 must be the way to go then. :)

Walmart has the Brother PE700 for $697.88 US and I can have it shipped to any Walmart for free.
or
AllBrands has it for $749 including 10 freebies, not sure how much shipping would be to Canada and then customs fees.

What to do?

just be aware that the disney CARDS only work on the disney machines. i'm not sure if the downloaded disney designs from the brother website are as particular.

=) I have the 780-D and LOVE LOVE LOVE it

My local Allbrands has a 10% discount on the web. You should check that out.

Hopefully yours has one also.

On The Brother website it says you can take any brother machine ant turn it into a Disney machine, with being able to use the cards. If not I think you can still download the designs and use them.

Canada does not have an Allbrands, I would have to order from the US.

The 770 comes with more software and believe me that is worth the extra

Someone else on the board bought theres from http://www.mrvacandmrssew.com/brothe...age-p-724.aspx with the grand slam package. I think I like this place better too, I would order the grand slam package and the hoop package. :)

Well I have started saving for the machine now, I plan to order it on March 18 as a birthday present to myself lol :) Does anyone know if it will still be around then? or is spring when the machines change again?

I think I am going to have to wait until closer to Christmas 2011 to order it now :( I hope they still have it then. :)

I have the PE700II and love it. I bought a "refurbished" one from Ken's Sewing Center although he was in the next state over. Saved about $100. I have had no problems with it that the tech couldn't talk me through over the phone. I also purchased my SE270D refurbished from him. The only drawback is that you have to return the machines to him for service but they are covered under the original warranty so basically the shipping is the only cost you incur.

I think Brother updates their machine models just to make us want something newer or better!! LOL

Hello,
With your PE700II can you use the disney cards? or disney designs that are downloadable? Can you conect directly to your computer?

I have the PE770. I am not sure, but it seems that one difference is that the PE 770 also will embroider from the USB slot. You can download any PES or DST format that you download on the USB stick and embroider. I think the 700 only has the memory card slot. By the way, I love the PE770, a christmas present. I also bought the 4 package hoops (small, 4x4, 5x7 and 5x12) from Amazon.com for around $100.00. Just be aware that you cannot embroider anything larger than 5x7 on the 5x12 hoop. You can hoop the material on that size, but one design can only be 5x7 max. The nice feature you have is that you don't have to rehoop and can do another one or do more letters without rehooping.
